My son was born blind due to Leber's Congenital Amaurosis, a genetic condition affecting the retina. Raising him has taught me things that no career ever could, particularly about technology. Not just what it does practically, but what it does for confidence, independence and connection. The moment something clicks for him – a new device, a new way of doing something he couldn't before – I understand completely why Visably exists.

Professionally, I'm a Marketing Director with experience leading brand strategy, communications and growth for consumer brands. I'm a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and I've spent my career doing the same thing in different forms: helping organisations find a clearer, more compelling story and making sure it reaches the right people through the right channels. Brand repositioning, audience growth, large-scale campaigns…I've led all of it. And I'm hoping to bring that experience to bear as Visably tells its own story to a much wider audience.

What drew me to Visably at this particular moment was the combination of nearly 100 years of heritage and a genuinely exciting transformation. The shift towards helping people build confidence with technology – not just providing the devices – feels like exactly the right direction. It's what I've seen make a difference in my own family's life.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my family, usually planning the next challenge or adventure. I've recently taken up photography and painting, so you'll often find me out walking with a camera, looking for something worth capturing.
