Introducing our new CEO, Sophie Jones

After nearly four decades of remarkable leadership, Visably is embarking on a new chapter with the appointment of Sophie Jones as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective March 1st, 2024.
Sophie has been an integral part of the Visably family for fiteen years and has been instrumental in shaping and executing our strategic vision in her role as Head of Regional Development.
It’s a tremendous privilege to have been chosen for this role. I’ve worked closely with Margaret for a while, and I am truly excited about driving Visably’s strategy forward. I also look forward to collaborating with the remarkable individuals and organisations who share our vision and dedication to providing essential comfort, connection, and companionship to those living with sight loss.

As Sophie steps into her new position, we bid a fond farewell to Margaret Grainger, our esteemed outgoing CEO, who has led Visably with such dedication for almost four decades. Margaret’s guidance has been instrumental in our journey, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of sight loss support throughout the UK.
It has been an honour to serve as CEO of Visably for nearly forty years. I am immensely proud of the progress we’ve made and the lives we’ve touched during my tenure. I am confident that Sophie’s leadership will propel Visably forward, and I wish her and the incredible Visably team continued success.
